Scottsdale

Dad and Tim had a meeting in Phoenix all week so we decided to pack up the car and meet them up there for the weekend. We had lots of fun eating out, visiting the zoo, enjoying Sprinkles cupcakes and then ending the weekend at the train park. Thanks Himes family for all the laughs!

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

While in Phoenix we visited the railroad park. This was extra special because it was just a play date with the Daddy's. Boy days rule!

Firetruck Day!

Today we toured the fire station with play group. Talk about HEAVEN! I could have stayed there all day. Fire trucks are my absolute favorite so I did lots of exploring and looking around. Last night I even ran to bed and closed my eyes as soon as I laid down so it could be "tomorrow" and I could go to the fire station.
We started out by touring the fire house, seeing the kitchen and where the firemen sleep. Then we got to go out to the garage and see the trucks. There were two different trucks to explore (the one with the HUGE ladder was my fave), an ambulance, water truck and all the firemen suits with masks and helmets. We each got our own helmet to take home with us and a high five from the firemen. What a day!
Here I come!
Look at all those gears.
Feeling pretty cool!
What a fun group of friends!

7 months

Wasn't mommy just posting my 6 month pictures? Where is the time going? Here are some things I am up to lately:
-eating oatmeal, yogurt and fruits
-practicing drinking from a sippy
-chewing on crackers and puffs
-rocking on all fours (mommy says scary!)
-holding on to things and standing for longer periods of time
-laughing
-smiling

Do you see a trend here? I am a pretty happy girl!

Apparently...

...eating the sign is the thing to do at 7 months. Something tells me these two are related!

Botanical Garden

We made our annual trip to the botanical gardens (with playgroup) to see the beautiful butterflies. This was Campbell's first time and she loved it just as much as I did. The butterflies were so big and colorful this year and boy did they love to fly around! I got to hold one which was really fun. The legs were sticky and they tickled my hand so I didn't hold it for very long. I want a butterfly house in my backyard. So cool!

Hi there!

Park play date

We met up with our friends Nolan and Sara today after a LONG break. Nolan went to Omaha (or Snomaha as some are calling it) to see his Grandma and Papa for Christmas and just came home this past weekend. We decided to get together for a picnic and park play date to make up for lost time. Gorgeous day in Tucson--73 and not a cloud in the sky. Probably should have used a little sunscreen!
Hi!
Watching the big boys--can't wait to be like them!

Happy New Year!

Wow! Welcome 2010! What a fun and exciting three weeks it has been at our house. Nana and Papa Harger started off the fun by visiting us right before Christmas, while they were here Dad had ankle surgery and has been in a cast ever since (he is now in a walking cast and will be for the next 6 weeks). We learned how to help him get around with one leg and crutches very quickly and now we can say he is a pro at hopping around! Next Santa visited and treated us very well. We are so thankful for all the fun surprises that jolly man left for us! But the fun didn't stop there! Our final treat came the day after Christmas with the arrival of the whole Coleman family. It was so fun to have the cousins all together here in the desert where we could play outside all day. Everyone is now home and our house is very quiet. It has been such a wonderful month of laughter and excitement. We hope your family was able to enjoy this special time together as well. Looking forward to the many adventures 2010 will bring. Happy New Year!
