My first shiner

Last Friday, I fell on one of my toys and my eyelid split open! Mom called the doctor right away but by the time she got her on the phone the bleeding stopped, I had stopped crying and was already playing with something else. Luckily I didn't need stitches--it has healed up so quickly. Aren't babies bodies amazing? I was a tough guy too--barely any tears. I save those for important things like when mom says "no" or takes things away that I am not supposed to have. Ha! Ha!
Oh by the way...here is a preview of my halloween costume. Any guesses? I have a tail, wings and like to breathe fire. Still not sure? You'll find out next week!

Flowers in October?

On, Sunday we went to Home Depot and bought FLOWERS! Can you believe it? Now I don't know about this "cold weather" stuff because I am a desert baby, but mom and dad say it is not fun. Here in the desert though fall and winter are the time to plant flowers so we did!
It is cooling off and we are outside a lot more so mom wanted to have some color in the backyard through the winter. Home Depot was crazy--people were everywhere with all kinds of flowers in their baskets. Mom and dad thought it was so funny to be outside with dirt and shovels in October. I thought it was great! I loved helping out too. Check out the pictures below at the future gardener!

Buckelew Farms

This weekend we went to Buckelew Farms and Pumpkin Patch. We rode on a horse drawn hayride out to the fields to pick the perfect pumpkin. It was a little hard to walk with all the vines but I loved looking at all the different kinds of pumpkins in the field. I picked a small white one for me, I pointed to it as soon as we got out into the fields. We had a great day with our friends the Himes', the Martinez's and the Williamson's. Thanks everyone for all the fun!
I wasn't a big fan of the hay on the hay ride--I liked daddo's lap better!
On the hunt for our pumpkin.
My pumpkin
So much to look at!
Standing in line with the big kids--I almost look like one!

I Heart Animals

After we found the perfect pumpkin we headed off to the petting zoo. My favorite! I could have stayed with the animals all afternoon. I loved feeding the cow the most, he gave me really sloppy kisses (he actually slimed me)!

Hello?

A note from mom: Jordan and I are constantly asking "Are we really on the phone that much?" Coleman loves playing phone and can turn anything into one. He picks it right up and then says "Allo?" (that would be Hello in Coleman speak!). So these are the latest photos of him getting on the phone. He was ecstatic that it was the real phone and the operator talked back. Oh the things that make us happy...

I think the operator just stopped talking here!

Coloring...take two!

Mom and I attempted coloring again last week and it was better. I actually colored for a few minutes...then I ate the crayons! I just can't help myself they look so bright and chewy. Oh well, that's just what babies are supposed to do right?
Look Dad...I am using my right hand! I know it makes you nervous when I use my left but don't worry whatever hand I end up using you still will be able to teach me how to throw a football. Hee Hee!

The Hair

Look at my hair! It just keeps getting bigger and bigger by the day. Mom says she is never going to cut it--pretty soon it is going to be as big as hers!

Arizona Sunsets

A note from mom:
We were sitting outside on Friday night watching Coleman play and all of a sudden the sky looked like this. I am sure the pictures don't do it justice, but it was just one of the perfect evenings that you wanted to capture forever. The weather is cooling down and it is starting to feel like fall and if I burn my pumpkin candle enough it almost feels like a Midwest evening! Anyway this is how we started our weekend and I just wanted to share it with everyone. Have a great week!

I still can't believe we live here sometimes! Mountains right in your backyard--amazing.

The Backpack

My Uncle A.J., Aunt Dana and cousin Lilly sent me a backpack last week. It has been such a fun new toy! I put it on right away and played in it all afternoon. I think I am ready for an adventure. Can we go on a trip now?
