We're back!

We are back in the desert. Loved Iowa. Lots of laughs. Lots of fun. Lots of memories. Can't wait to go back. Enjoy all the new pics! Time to go unpack and cool off. Summer has hit AZ.

The little farmer

How can you ever get tired of this green place?
Walking Grammie and Papa's land

With my sidekick Lilly (Campbell was already asleep)
Through the cornfields
Hitchin' a ride back to the house

Tractor

A trip to Iowa wouldn't be complete without a John Deer tractor ride! Papa and Grammie's neighbor Farmer Bill picked up Lilly and I for a ride around his farm. We got to ride all by ourselves without our parents OR car seats! He drove SUPER fast through his fields which was SUPER fun. Lilly and I talked about it all day. Iowa is the BEST!
Backing in to the driveway
Getting in the cab
Driving away
Back--safe and sound
My new friend Farmer Bill

Monkeys

Up to no good...but best of buds.

Campbell's Early Birthday

Since all the family was together we decided to celebrate my birthday a month early! Who is going to complain about eating cake and opening presents a few days early and then do it again in a couple of weeks? Not me! We had a great time with both sets of grandparents, aunt Dana, uncle AJ, Lilly and even her grandma Peggy and Papa Paul. Thanks everyone for making my early b-day so special!

Zoo

Nana and Papa Bear came up to Iowa and we all took a trip to the zoo. Hands down the aquarium was our favorite. The penguins were our number one pick with the sting rays and sharks a close second.

Papa

We sure do love our Papa. What a fun guy.

Horses

Mom's childhood friend was in town the same time as we were (how lucky!) so off we went to their horse farm for a morning play date. Campbell, Lilly and I were able to feed the horses, clean their beds, brush their hair and get them ready for riding. What a treat! I couldn't get enough of the horses and would bum a ride from anyone that would take me. I think animal science is the front runner for my future.
Calling the horses in
Feeding Bill treats
Love it!

Lilly's turn
Here we go!
What a pro
Campbell wanting a turn
Madison and Coleman
Emily and Mommy and all their kiddos. Fun!

Tasty Treat

We made a couple stops to this oldie but goody place while on our trip. Nothing completes the day like a vanilla cone from Tasty Treat (mom's childhood ice cream spot).

Diller's Greenhouse

A trip to our favorite Council Bluffs Greenhouse was on the list to do while visiting. Check! We were able to smell the sweet flowers and be amazed at all the beautiful colors. Thanks Rhonda for dealing with the craziness of three kids in an open area to run. Wow.

Three kids to smile at the same time = yeah right.

Kansas City

While we were in Iowa we ventured down to Kansas City to visit more friends and family.
Here is a quick run down of what we did in 24 hours:
-Visited mom's bff Courtney's new home
-Played with her kiddos Timothy and Maggie and destroyed their house
-Had an early b-day party for the girls (their b-days are four days apart)
-Played with our cousins Kaleigh and Grant at Nana and Papa Bear's house
-Had dinner and then the silly's all night with Grant and Kaleigh
-Mom went out to dinner with her girlfriends
-Had a sleep over at Nana and Papa Bear's
-Met some of Nana's friends for breakfast
-Went to Crown Center and had lunch at Fritz's
-Had a train bring us cheeseburgers and shakes to our lunch table--Cool!
-Visited Union Station and watched trains, trains and more trains and saw a few dinosaurs too
-Visited mom's friend Miss Nikki and made two new friends of our own Mia and Marley
Whew! Do you need a nap just reading the list?

It was sure fun though!

Problem Fixed

We are back in business Batman. Camera problem fixed--when all else fails, buy a new one.
