My first cold and a little more...

It's been a rough week here at the Harger House. I got my first cough and runny nose last Friday, but because I was teething the doctors weren't quite sure if I needed to come visit them. Well by Monday I didn't get any better so off to the doctor's office I went. It turns out I have bronchiolitis (basically bronchitis for babies), but we caught it really early and breathing treatments should help. I am doing better but I have to do the treatments every six hours. That is why I have that funny mask on in the picture. So far they haven't been that bad and if you put me in my bouncy seat I barely make a peep! Mom and dad said I have been a trooper. It's rough stuff being a baby! Hopefully by Monday I will be done with all of this. We'll keep you updated.

Got it!

This is a fun toy I have been playing with the last couple of weeks. It is called the ball popper, it blows air and makes colorful balls pop everywhere (hence the name!) while playing all kinds of crazy music. I sit and wait for the balls and catch them as they come up. I love to make a pile of them in my lap. Mom thinks I am pretty advanced, but aren't moms supposed to think that?!

Look closely...you can see my bottom teeth along with a new top one! I have two more up there waiting to pop through any second.

The Ball Pit

I fell in love with the ball pit at "My Gym" (where I have gymnastics class) so we decided to make one at home. It looks like Luci and George love it too!

Grandpa digs me! (That's what my shirt says if you can't see it.)

...and I dig toys!

Up to no good!

Mom sat me down with all these fun toys and books but that just wasn't good enough for me. I was ready for an adventure! I scooted (backwards) away from my play area, off the rug and probably would have kept going but that silly couch stopped me. I actually got stuck here and this is how mom found me. I can't wait until I can go forwards, think of all the fun I will have then!

Valentine's dinner

Just getting ready to chow down on some fruit and veggies. Maybe next year some chocolate can be added to the menu...

The New Toy

Mom thought she was so smart by trapping me in my Bumbo. I think she thought by putting me in here that I would stay out of trouble. Yeah right! I found these fun curtains to pull and hide under. You can't stop me!

Loving the grass

I went to my friend's house today and they have this stuff called "grass" in their backyard! Can you believe it? I loved rolling around in it and lounging in the sun. It is offical, being outside is my favorite thing.

Expressing myself

I loved my green beans and bananas so much at dinner yesterday I wanted to tell the whole world about it! Do you want to listen to what I have to say?

The Final Stages...

Here I am right before Dr. Bailey removed the stint from my kidney procedure. It was really early in the morning (that is why Daddy looks so sleepy!). I was under for just about 15 minutes and woke up as soon as it was over. It wasn't anything like the last time I was in the hospital but I still got to wear this fun gown. I was only in a little pain afterwards, nothing a little Tylenol couldn't take care of! By afternoon I was back to movin' and groovin'. Nothing can slow this boy down!
A note from mommy: For now things look great and we are right on track as far as recovery goes. We go back to Phoenix Children's in 8 weeks to have a sonogram and check on the progress of the surgery. If I were to judge on the success of the procdure by the fullness of his diapers, I would say things are functioning 100%! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, our little man was once again so happy and peaceful throughout the whole day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The Shopping Cart

I love the shopping cart!! Sitting like this is my new favorite thing. I am so high and can see so many more things from up here. I sure do get a lot of attention from strangers--I love making new friends!

Seven months

Happy Birthday to me!! I am seven months old now--WOW! Here are some new things I can do:
* Sit up without mommy or daddy holding me
*Scoot backwards (everywhere) on my belly
*Up on all fours, rocking back and forth
*Pulling myself up on to the couch and coffee table
*Loving all kinds of foods--I am done tasting all the veggies and almost through the fruits
*Sitting in high chairs at restaurants
*Sitting in the shopping cart at the store
*Exploring my scream and voice--especially when shopping!
*Smiling at everyone and making friends wherever we go. I am a ham!!

Snow in the desert...

We are still getting use to "winter" life here in the desert! It got down to a wopping 50 degrees yesterday...yes, that's right I said 50. We were in a winter weather advisory!! It rained all day with some occasional flakes but it was more hail than anything. It did snow in the mountains though and it made for quite a beatiful view to wake up to. Just wanted to share with everyone...
Snow storm over the mountains in the backyard

Hail/sleet accumulation on our patio

Snow the next morning on the mountains, and yes the temperature went back up to 60. Thank goodness! We almost got cold there for a second!!

My new bathtub

Since I am pretty much a pro at sitting up these days Mom let me take a bath in the sink! Isn't that such a funny idea? I loved it though and I think I may just have to continue to take my baths this way. Bring on the big boy bath toys. F-U-N!!

Super Bowl Sunday

I got to watch my first Super Bowl football game today. Mom and Dad had a party and I got to play with my friend Nolan. There was all kind of food and lots of cheering but in the end Nolan and I opted to watch Baby Einstein. Those silly adults don't know where the fun is at!

The future football players...

Here I am practicing my football moves. I think I am going to like tackling best!

The Remote Control

So mom and dad have been hiding this great toy from me called the "remote control". It has all these fun buttons that I can't stop pushing! I wish they would have just given this thing to me instead of all those other silly toys--this is way better!
