Summer

What do you do in 108 degree heat? Crank up the air and get a pedicure. This was our morning activity while Campbell napped. Great mother-son bonding time.

Our big girl

A note from mom:

Oh miss Campbell how can you be one already? Your dad and I were just driving to the hospital to have you. I was crying because I didn't think I could handle two. Your dad was hungry and trying to figure out what he wanted to eat. :) Little did we know in a few short hours and a couple of pushes how much you were going to melt our hearts! We instantly realized there was enough room for two in our lives. How did we ever live without you?

As the days and months went by you were such an easy, content and happy baby. Not much has changed at one year old. You are so quick to give your sweet smile. Such a beautiful smile that lights up the room. You are patient with your brother and always let him play with things first. You are patient with your parents as we are always dealing with "something". You are even patient with George and Luci as they steal your food and sometimes knock you down. Thank you sweet girl for being the perfect combination of everything this family needed. We needed you to make us better and you certainly have! We can not wait to see what joy you bring over the years. What a great adventure it is going to be. Happy birthday little girl! We love you!

Campbell is ONE!

I am one year old! I had a great day of presents, food and friends. I woke up to balloons, decorations and my very own polka dot chair but the day didn't stop there! We met our friends at the children's museum for exploring and play time and then a yummy lunch at Beyond Bread. Grilled cheese and chocolate chip cookies for all! Then after nap time pizza, presents and cupcakes. What a day! Birthdays are the best!

Keeping Hydrated

Drink LOTS of liquids in the desert heat. Check!

Dentist

On Monday I visited the dentist for the first time. I had a great time! The office had a Pac-man video game table and a tree house castle to play with while mom filled out papers and talked with the nurse. In the exam room there were colorful chairs just my size and fun Diego glasses to wear when I sat down. Everyone was so nice--they counted my teeth, cleaned them with a cool brush and cherry toothpaste and then painted my teeth with fluoride. Dr. Norm gave me a excellent report card and said to keep up the good work. When can we go back?

Campbell Walking

10 and 11 months

With the camera breaking and our trip to Iowa my 10 month pic didn't get posted so here it is a little delayed. A lot has happened this month!
*I have 8 teeth now--four came through in a two week period.
*I am eating like a champ--I eat everything that the family is eating.
*Communicating, communicating, communicating--weather it is through grunts, points, or screeches I am try to tell you something.
*I sleep through the night--mom says whew!
*And drum roll please...last but not least I am walking!! I started taking steps here and there before we left for Iowa but I have perfected this craft over the last couple of weeks. The above video is a little old to be honest. I leave that girl in the dust now. I am quick and quiet--two dangerous things! But still as sweet as ever.

It's Summer

It is officially HOT, HOT, HOT here in the desert. Swimsuits, watermelon and rain boots (in anticipation of a rainy day--yeah right) on hand at all times.
