Meeting Miss Lilly

Mom and I were so sad that we couldn't play with my new cousin Lilly once she was born, so we decided to go back to Iowa for a week! What a fun time that was. Lilly is so tiny--I was ready to play with her, but apparently I have to wait until she is bigger! Mom had fun holding her and even changing her diapers. Can you believe that? She said she was a lot easier to change since she laid so still. I will have to teach her how to be a wiggle worm for her mom and dad. That is way more fun!

I loved playing with my Grammie and Poppy. We played outside a lot. I loved the cooler weather and eventually got used to their thick grass. It is not like the Tuscon grass! I already miss the green trees. We can't wait to visit again, it was great to see everyone. Grow big Lilly, see you soon! Hugs and Kisses.

Grandmas and Grandpas Galore!

Nana and Papa Bear made a trip to Iowa from Kansas City to spend the day with us. We had a great time playing outside--they sure know how to spoil a boy!
One for you...

And one for you too!

Hanging out with my two favorite pops.

Do you like my Chiefs jersey? Nana and Papa don't want us to forget about our favorite football team in the desert!

Omaha Zoo

During our Iowa trip we visited the Omaha Zoo. What fun that was! My favorite was the monkey and gorilla house since I am a monkey too. I also like the penguins, they were so fun to watch dive into the water. Poppy spoiled me and carried me on his shoulders the whole time. I wish I could have that kind of service everyday! I think Lilly had a great time too. She took the best nap while Uncle A.J. carried her around. I can't wait until next year when we both can run around together! Sorry for the long slide show...mom has the hardest time picking pictures!

A True Boy

After spending a day at the zoo I was animal crazy! Mommy and I found this toad in the yard and he quickly became my best friend. I chased him around for an hour (good thing he was slow!). Mama says I am all boy--dirt on my shirt, scrapes on my face, sweat and toads. Heaven!

Blast From the Past

A note from mom:
These shoes have been cracking me up all day. I just keep flashing back to my 80's memories of backwards skate at the roller rink, leg warmers and MJ's Thriller. I think my brother had this exact pair when he was five!

I love coloring??

Mom let me use crayons for the first time today and it was pretty fun. I was more interested in eating them though. Mental note...don't try coloring before dinner time, often confused with food!

Olympic Hopeful

A note from mom:

While watching the Olympics yesterday Coleman decided he wasn't quite close enough to the T.V. Can anyone say determined? He was going to climb up that ottoman if it took all night. Needless to say once he figured it out we played a fun game of "up & down" the rest of the evening. If there was an Olympic event for infant climbing I think we would have a contender on our hands! Life continues to get more interesting by the minute at our house. Our clever "road block" from the entertainment center is now no more. Any advice?!

Shopping Cart Fun

I get to ride in the cart at the store, so why can't I at home? Mom and dad spent yesterday afternoon driving me around the house and boy what fun! I didn't want the good times to end (there may have been a few tears shed when we had to stop). But this morning I have been looking for my cart everywhere and can't seem to find it. You don't think mom hid it do you?!

The itsy bitsy spider....or not!

Look what we found in our driveway last week! Yep, that's a tarantula. The native Tucsonans all say that tarantulas are very mild natured and won't hurt you but what do you think? Mom says she is still staying clear--he doesn't look that friendly so "let's just take a picture and walk away". Maybe in a couple years I will convince her that I can have one for a pet! I am sure George and Luci won't mind...

Welcome Lillian Jean!

My new adorable cousin Lillian Jean Coleman (Lilly) was born on August 1st at 2:02 am. She weighed 7 pounds 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. Uncle A.J. says she looks like Aunt Dana. We are so excited for them--I can't wait to meet my new cousin. Congratulations A.J. and Dana!

Kissing

I love giving kisses lately but I still haven't figured out how to keep my mouth closed! Mom says they are like sloppy puppy kisses. That's ok I love doing everything the dogs do anyway. Just add it to the list!

Trying to beat the heat...

I think we are all a little sick of the heat lately. You know it is hot when the pool doesn't even sound fun anymore! This week we stayed in and stayed cool. I had so much fun at the mall with Nolan, we read books and played with the trains at Barnes & Noble, had ice cream and got to play in the indoor kid park. Inside can be fun too!
My safari buddy--don't I look so cute in a jeep?
No the snakes aren't THAT big in Tucson!
Ooops! Wrong way again.
Where are we going?
