Drinking water

Look at me!! I sure do love water (when it is out of a glass, not those silly sippy cups!). I like to hold my own big boy cup and drink just like a grown up. I am starting to get a tooth so the water and cup feels so good on my gums. This teething bit is not fun!

The High Chair

It's official...I am a big boy! I got a high chair for Christmas so I can start eating "real" food. I still am not a big fan of this stuff called food but mom and dad think this chair might help. Don't tell but a chair isn't going to change things. I am perfectly content with my mommy's milk, but let them think they solved the problem. I'll keep you updated on how it goes!

Opening presents

I had so much fun at my first Christmas! There is this great stuff called wrapping paper that you can play with all day. And there are even other things called "gifts" under the paper but they are not as neat. I loved ripping the wrapping paper and rolling around in it. I can't wait until next year to see what kind of paper Santa will put under the tree!

A visit with Santa!

I went to see Santa this week and it was so fun! We apparently shop at the same store because he had on the same hat I did! We talked about going to bed early and how I have been so good for mom and dad. I loved making a new friend. Thanks Santa for all the treats you gave me this year!

A belated five months picture!!

I am five months old now...the picture is a week late though! Mommy is sorry she didn't get it on my blog sooner but things have been a little hectic around here. She promised me she will be better next month. Hugs and Kisses to everyone!

On the road to recovery...

This has been a big week for me and the fam, but we are home now and doing great! As many of you know I had to visit the hospital on Monday to have some work done on my kidney. When mommy was still carrying me in her belly the doctors found fluid around my kidneys, before I was born my right kidney fixed itself but my left one still needed a little help. Even though it wasn't hurting me, it was time to fix me up!
I had something called a "UPJ obstruction", in baby terms this means a small part of the tube connecting my kidney to the bladder wasn't completely developed. So we went to Phoenix Children's Hospital and my new friend Dr. Bailey removed the small part of the tube that wasn't working. He then reconnected the tube back together and now hopefully my kidney will be fully functioning again! Aren't doctors amazing? They said over the next couple of months my kidney should heal back to 100% and you would never even know I had a problem!!
We are so glad to be back home and want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers while we were at the hospital. Mom and dad said I was so calm and content through the whole thing and I know it was because of all the prayers from our loved ones. Thank you for loving me so much!
Here are a few pictures from my journey...
Just waking up from the surgery.

Lots of tubes, but they didn't bother me at all! I even liked putting a few in my mouth as the week went on.

I loved watching my heart monitor, the lines went up and down and if I kicked hard enough I could make it beep (because I could get the monitor off my toe!)

Sitting with mommy and making the nurses laugh. I loved making so many new friends. The nurses were so nice.

This is my favorite picture! Some of the Arizona Cardinal football players visited my room and brought me a teddy bear. My great-grandpoo, Grammie C. and Auntie Shelly are in the picture too. (Mommy and Daddy went to lunch, they were so sad they missed all the fun, boo-hoo.)

My trip to Kansas City

We went to back Kansas City to have turkey with my family and visit mommy and daddy's favorite places. Here are a few of my favorite pics from my travels. Enjoy!

This is my friend Hudson, he was so nice to share his exersaucer with me. We had so much fun eating snacks and watching Baby Einstein. Thanks Hudson for the great play date!

I love holding hands with my friends!

Here I am playing with my cousins Grant and Kaleigh for the first time. We had so much fun! We got to have bath time together and they taught me so many new songs and dance moves. I can't wait to play with them again!

Getting ready for bed time.

This is mommy's favorite picture! Daddy and I are playing with the train at my Nana and Papa Bear's house. I loved knocking the train off the track. What a fun game!
